What are Turbo Trainers?

Turbo trainers are ideal for keeping your bike fitness up indoors, and whilst using your own cycle. As well as enhancing cardio, you can adjust them to make the session as hard, or as easy as you want. The elite turbo trainer automatically adjusts to the riders weight, using a fluid based resistance. They fits all bikes, preferably road bikes, but mountain bikes are suitable, providing they have slick tyre on the back. Just bring your own bike, and it fits easily on to the Turbo, no bike adjustments are required.

What will it do for me?

Using Turbo Trainers will help improve overall fitness, burn fat and whole body tone.

Is it right for me?

Turbo Trainers is a high energy low impact exercise that is suitable for everyone aged 16 and over and all fitness levels.  Your instructor will help you work at a level and choose movements that are suitable for your ability and targets. 

However, if you have an ongoing medical condition or injury you should consult with your GP or medical practitioner before beginning a new exercise programme.

What should I wear?

You should wear your normal cycle clothes and bear in mind you may get very warm.  You should wear your normal cycling footwear.

What else should I bring?

Your cycle, a water bottle to stay hydrated and a towel if you wish.

Where does this class take place?

Turbo Training classes are available at our centre in Ruthin.

When does this class take place?

You can check when all our classes are on our timetable. It is advisable to book for all classes.
