Zumba is a fun, high energy aerobic workout that is loaded with red-hot dance steps, Latin rhythms and easy to follow routines.
More a party than an exercise class – Zumba makes working out fun and you will shake off the weight to the exotic rhythms of Salsa, Cumbia, Samba, Merengue, Reggaeton and much more.
Zumba is a high intensity aerobic class that will improve fitness and help burn fat. In addition the dance moves will help tone, improve core strength, flexibility and coordination.
Zumba is suitable for everyone aged 16 and over and all fitness levels as your instructor will help make sure you are working at an intensity that is right for you. However, if you have an ongoing medical condition or injury you should consult with your GP or medical practitioner before beginning a new exercise programme.
You should wear comfortable, flexible clothes that let you move easily. Avoid very baggy clothes and bear in mind you may get very warm. You should wear trainers that give you adequate support and stability.
You don’t need to bring any equipment – just a water bottle to stay hydrated- you may want to bring a towel too.
Zumba classes are available at our centres in Denbigh, St Asaph and Nova Prestatyn.
