With the news that restrictions are easing, we are now looking forward to reopening our facilities very soon.  Despite the difficulties of the past 12 months, Denbighshire Leisure Ltd has come back even stronger each time, and we have remained determined to bring you premium quality facilities and even more opportunities for staying fit and having fun.

From 26th April, you can catch up with our brilliant instructors, as our programme of outdoor group exercise classes begins at leisure centres.  Organised outdoor activities for adults can also restart (up to a maximum of 30 people).  

From 4th May, you will be able to use our gyms and our public swimming sessions will restart.  

From 17th May, our indoor group exercise programme will begin, together some elements of our swimming lesson programme.  Organised indoor group activities for adults / children will also restart.

Fitness Suites

Fitness suites are available for use to members only. If you are not a member and would like to use our facilities, please contact your preferred centre. You can find contact details here.

Please note – for safety reasons maximum numbers have been reduced.  At peak times there may be a short wait before you can enter.

On arrival at the centre, staff will explain the processes in place for social distancing.

Changing rooms and designated toilets are available for use by customers.  Showers are currently not available.  

Bring enough drinking water for your activity as our water fountains are not in use.

Lockers are available for customer use.

To comply with social distancing, not all gym equipment will be available for use. Machines will be marked red, amber or green to indicate which machines can be used.

Equipment will be cleaned regularly by staff.  In addition customers are requested to clean equipment before and after use with the cleaning materials available.

Fitness Classes

Customers are encouraged to bring their own mat to participate in classes, however vinyl mats can be provided.

Where equipment is provided, it will be cleaned by staff before the start of the session. As an additional protection, customers are requested to clean centre equipment before and after use with the cleaning materials provided.

Please arrive on time for your session. Wherever possible try not to arrive any more than 10 minutes early.

Sessions will close 5 minutes after the class begins and no further customers will be allowed to join.

Before and after classes please do not congregate for social discussions.

Swimming sessions are available to members and non-members.

All sessions need to be pre-booked before attending.

Swimming Lessons

We are delighted that our swimming lesson programme is able to recommence from 10th May.

It is our intention to re-start the programme with Waves 3-7 and Rookie Lifeguard, based on arrangements already put in place at the end of last year.  Our teams are in the process of contacting everyone who was offered a place in these classes, to check that you would still like the space allocated for you on the programme, and whether the day and time agreed are still suitable. Please note: for any Corwen based customers who transferred to another site due to the refurbishment, there will now be an option for you to revert back.

We will need to await further guidance from Welsh Government before we can re-commence the Splash, Wave 1 and 2 programmes.  As teaching takes place in the water, social distancing issues mean we will be unable to deliver these classes until restrictions ease.  If you had a place on Splash, Wave 1 and/or 2 when the programme was suspended in March 2020, our teams will be in touch shortly to check that you want to retain your space on the programme and whether the day and time are still suitable. Please note: for any Corwen based customers who transferred to another site due to the refurbishment, there will be an option for you to revert back.  We will then recommence these lessons as soon as restrictions are lifted sufficiently.

Public Swimming Sessions Available (from 4th May)

Adult Lane – 45 minutes

These sessions are for people aged 16 years and over. Double lanes will be in operation with a maximum of 6 people per double lane. Please be advised that there will be mixed abilities within each lane, so please be considerate to others swimmers. A ‘no overtaking’ policy will apply, and swimmers are expected to make way for faster swimmers at the end of each length.

** Over 60’s – £2.50.

Adult Widths – 45 minutes

Sections will be in operation in the deep end of the pool enabling customers to swim widths back and forth, within their own area.

Aqua Aerobics / Aqua Zumba / Swim Fit (from 10th May)

Fitness in the water designed to improve stamina, strength and toning with no pressure on joints. For 16 years and upwards.

Leisure Card – £4.80 per person
Non Leisure Card – £6.00
Total Gym and Classes Members – Free

** Over 60’s eligible for free classes on selected sessions.

Family Swim – 45 minutes

Book a private pool space for up to five people to use within your family. Play, swim and splash around your section of the pool. Each session will have shallow end and deep end sections. Please ensure you book the most appropriate slot for your group’s ability. A family swim requires at least 1 adult and must meet existing child to responsible adult supervision ratios.

£10.10 for Leisure Card / Membership holders per family and £15.10 without.

We have introduced sessions half price family swim sessions at weekends.  These sessions are part of the Welsh Assembly Government Free Swimming Initiative.

These sessions are £5.05 for Leisure Card / Membership holders per family and £7.55 without.

Parent & Toddler – 45 minutes

Book a private pool space for up to five people to use within your family. A family swim requires at least 1 adult and must meet existing child to responsible adult supervision ratios.

Disability sessions

These sessions are specifically for swimmers with additional needs, and both swimmers and carers swim for free.

Outdoor Sports

 

Under 18s can now participate in organised outdoor activity.  

From the 26th April, adults can participate in organised outdoor activities (clubs / organisations only) and are limited to a maximum of 30 people per group.

Parents will be allowed into the Play frame but should still social distance from other adults.

The Play Café is currently closed.  We are awaiting further guidance from Welsh Government on dates for reopening.

Customer Safety

Our safety processes are continually reviewed for all of our sites.  These are designed to ensure we are complying fully with all government advice, and are keeping our colleagues and customers safe.  These processes will continue, but may change as and when government advice is updated.

We fully encourage customers to take responsibility for sanitising certain areas before and after use.  This includes fitness suite equipment, changing room benches/cubicles and class equipment.

For your comfort and safety, you will see our staff carrying out regular intensive cleaning.  They have all been trained according to Covid-19 guidelines. Please help them by adhering to any signs, notices and instructions given.

When visiting our gyms, leisure centres, swimming pools and attractions, you will need to wear a face covering in reception areas, changing rooms, toilets and circulation areas. You won’t need to wear one while you are exercising in the gym, taking part in a class, swimming or within Nova Play or the Ninja TAG arenas.

Please sanitise your hands on arrival and on leaving. For your comfort and safety additional waste paper towel dispensers and hand sanitiser stations are positioned at the entrance and around the centre.

Additional signage has been put in place to guide customers and to help you understand changes that have been made to allow the facility to open.

A one-way entry and exit system, will be used where practical.

We will, of course, continue to enforce social distancing measures and extensive cleaning throughout all of our facilities.

Please do not enter one of our buildings if you feel unwell or experience the symptoms of Covid-19.

Booking Terms and Conditions

  • All activities / sessions except the Fitness Suite must be pre-booked.
  • Sessions / activities can be booked 7 days in advance for members and 4 for non-members.
  • Cancellations – you must give at least 2 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend. Failure to do so may result in a non-member fee being charges. Please email the centre to cancel your booking.
  • Should a member not turn up for 3 sessions / activities they will lose their priority booking privilege. (Members will lose their priority booking privilege for 1 week from the day of missed session)
  • All bookings are subject to availability. We cannot guarantee a place in any session.
  • No refunds will be made for missed sessions. Where there is a legitimate reason for not attending a session, a credit will be made to be used at one of our DLL facilities.
