Adventure Play - Rules of Play

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all our visitors, Nova Management request that parents/ guardians adhere to our Rules of Play and safety guidelines at all times.

  • Centre staff are responsible for the monitoring and usage of equipment. Supervision of children is the responsibility of the parent/ guardian.
  • We would like to remind all customers ONLY food and drink purchased at Nova can be consumed on the premises.
  • Only children under 148cm in height may play.
  • Children must be accompanied by a supervising adult at all times.
  • The smaller play area is strictly for children under the age of 5.
  • Children who are unwell should not enter the play area.
  • Children should use the toilet and wash their hands before entering the play area.
  • Following each visit to the toilet, parents/ guardians should ensure children wash their hands before re-entering the play area.
  • Shoes should be removed and socks worn at all times. (Socks are available to purchase at Reception)
  • Appropriate and safe clothing should be worn i.e. arms and legs covered to avoid possible friction burns. Please avoid clothing with ropes, cords and also remove jewellery and badges.
  • Only spectacles with shatterproof lenses and a retainer, should be worn in the play area.
  • Adults should only use the play equipment when accompanying their child.
  • Children should not play in front of the slide exits or clim up the slides. When using the slides they should lie flat or 'sit up' and keep their arms crossed.
  • Children should not throw balls or toys, or engage in any dangerous play.
  • Fighting and bullying will not be tolerated and guilty parties may be asked to leave.
  • No sharp objects should be taken into the play area.
  • No food or drinks should be taken onto the play equipment/ into the play area.
  • Responsible photography of your own child is permitted, however any behaviour judged to be inappropriate will be challenged.
