Being active as we get older

Regular physical activity and exercise for helps improve mental and physical health, both of which will help you maintain your independence as you age. Physical exercise improves strength, balance, mobility and endurance levels helping to prevent falls and certain disease. Physical exercise can lift our mood and make us happy.

At Denbighshire Leisure we pride ourselves on providing high quality, accessible opportunities to improve the wellbeing of Denbighshire’s’ residents.

As part of this commitment, we are pleased to be part of the Welsh Government’s Health Weight Healthy Wales and Sport Wales’ Active Leisure Scheme, which supports us to offer a new opportunity to those people over 60’s which will encourage physical activity and healthy life choices, for those people not currently active.
