Your first 6 months
On your first day with Denbighshire Leisure Ltd, you will be shown around your new the site, and given an induction with your manager. The induction will go through various essentials, such as Health and Safety, where the toilets and staff rooms are, how your holidays and hours will all work etc. If there’s anything you’re not sure about then just ask your manager, they’ll be happy to help.
All our new staff have a 6-month Probationary Period, where you’ll meet with your manager at 3 months, and 5 months. These are a great opportunity to check in and see how things are going, whether you’re enjoying your role and if you need any support.
‘Your Time’ Conversations
We feel it’s very important for staff to be given the opportunity to have some one-to-one time with their manager, and therefore all staff will have at least 3 Your Time Conversations per year. Depending on your role, and how often you and your manager want to catch up, these could be as regular as every month. Your Time Conversations provide a dedicated space and time for just you and your manager to have a meaningful conversation, to discuss how things are going, your workload and objectives, your development opportunities etc.
We have 3 types of Conversation depending on job role and what you’d like:
- Your Time
- Your Time EXPRESS
- Your Time EXTRA
Typically, front line staff will have a Your Time EXPRESS conversation, whilst supervisors, managers, and office workers will have a Your Time conversation. All staff with significant responsibility will automatically have a Your Time EXTRA conversation once a year. Your Time EXTRA conversations are also available to any member of staff on request, if they’d like one to support personal and professional development.
