with Active Communities
Denbighshire Leisure is giving away hundreds of free activities for families this Summer to get active and have fun in partnership with Denbighshire County Council and Welsh Government.
Following a successful Winter of Wellbeing, the Summer of Fun starts this month, across the county with free tickets to Denbighshire Leisure summer activities.
Sportzone
Sportzone is a multi-sport camp for children aged 6-11 years of age. It’s a fantastic way to have fun, meet new friends and have a go at some sports and activities you may not have tried before.
Sportzone Summer of Fun 2022 camps are available at our Denbigh, Rhyl and Ruthin Leisure centres, run from 8.30am – 4.30pm, are free to attend and include a free packed lunch included for every participating child!

- Rhyl 01824 712661: Monday – Friday from 25th July – 26th August
- Denbigh 01824 712664: Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday from the 25th July – 26th August
- Ruthin 01824 712665: Every Tuesday & Thursday from the 26th July – 25th August.
All free sessions are subject to availability
Bikeability Level 3
Advance your bike skills for FREE with our Active Communities team this Summer. Bikeability Level 3 will equip you with the skills needed to stay safe in more challenging situations.
Please note, in order to complete Bikeabiity Level 3, you must have completed the Level 1 & 2 training.
This course is 3 hours and is designed for children aged 11 and above.
On the course you will learn how to :
- Ride on more complex roads
- Adopt the best riding position
- Ride on complex multi-lane roads
