Significant investment in leisure facilities at Corwen Leisure centre
Denbighshire Leisure’s first major investment of 2020 will see an exciting £260,000 refurbishment of Corwen Leisure Centre next month, including new pool hall, changing areas, viewing area and new state-of-the-art fitness equipment.
The extensive upgrade will start on 14th February and will include complete redecoration of the pool hall including new flooring throughout, a revamped spectator area and upgrades of the both male and female shower and changing areas.
The first floor fitness space in the Centre will also be refurbished with a range of new first-class functional equipment installed. This work will ensure that Corwen residents have the same exceptional standard of equipment that Denbighshire Leisure provides to all its members across the county at all 7 leisure centres.
Jamie Groves, Managing Director of Denbighshire Ltd said “We are very proud of the high standard of our facilities across the county. We are always looking to invest further and to keep providing our customers with excellent value for money at all of our centres.
“This is a very important chapter in the Centre’s history and we think on completion of the project, customers will be thrilled with their new facilities. We are also about to start on a project to deliver an exercise studio in Llangollen Leisure Centre and have a number of other potential projects in the pipeline for our Dee Valley customers.”
Denbighshire Leisure prides itself on its exceptional standards and top quality facilities across the county, and as part of their ongoing commitment over the last 7 years all five Denbighshire pool halls and / or changing rooms have been refurbished at NOVA, Denbigh, Ruthin, Rhyl and Corwen, and now in 2020 Corwen is being refurbished for a second time to maintain its high standards.
This project follows on from other recent installations and refurbishments in Corwen, including a 3G pitch and new state of art fitness facilities in both Corwen and Llangollen.
The work in Corwen will start on Friday 14th February and the new look pool is expected to reopen to the public on Monday 8th June, with members being encouraged to use other Denbighshire Leisure swimming pools in the meantime, with Ruthin only twenty minutes away. The pitch, gym and squash courts at Corwen Leisure Centre will remain open for business as usual during this time.
