DLL colleagues aim for Welsh Cup glory
Two colleagues from DLL (Denbighshire Leisure Ltd) will be aiming for glory when the semi-finals of the JD Welsh Cup take place on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th March.
Morgan Murray and Josh Jones, who work within DLL’s fitness and tourism teams will be representing different clubs in the semi-finals, but both will be determined to secure a place for their team in the prestigious JD Welsh Cup final on 15th April.
Morgan, a supervisor for DLL who plays for Tier 2 phoenix club, CPD Rhyl 1879, is immensely proud to be representing his home town at this stage of the competition. As a relatively new club, reaching the semi-finals is a huge achievement for Rhyl, bringing excitement not just to the Club, but to the local community. Morgan, who has always been passionate about football, manages his work/life balance with the support of employer DLL, and says of the forthcoming tie with Caernarfon Town ‘as a team we’ll be fully focused and confident we can cause another upset against a Cymru Premier side’
Josh, a leisure attendant at DLL’s Denbigh Leisure site, plays for Cymru Premier team Flint Town United, and has been playing football in the Welsh system since the age of 17. To have the opportunity to represent his club in the Welsh Cup semi-finals, and potentially in a final is naturally something that makes him incredibly proud. Josh is looking forward to Flint’s tie with Bangor 1876, he said: “hopefully Rhyl and Flint make it through to the final, and Morgan and I get to share the stage!”
Jamie Groves, DLL MD said “Everyone at DLL is extremely proud of both Morgan and Josh, and we can’t wait for the semi-finals. We love to see our employees following their passions and as a company will always do our best to support them, whether it’s with a professional aspiration or a personal dream. We wish them both the best of luck in the semi-finals, and fingers crossed will see them both in the final!”
