New Power Assisted Exercise Technology brand Assist Fit comes to Club Rhyl
DLL’s new power assisted exercise technology brand, Assist Fit, will be launching at Club Rhyl on 2nd June.
For members looking for a low impact, full-body workout, Assist Fit will provide the perfect ‘helping hand’ to get their strength back.
The Assist Fit suite will encompass 9 pieces of state-of-the-art equipment chosen in partnership with specialist company Innerva. Each piece of equipment has various workout settings, enabling users to work at their own pace. Two new categories of membership have been created for customers, and will include a programme of supervised and unsupervised sessions, led by the DLL team.
Power assisted exercise technology is the perfect solution for older adults, those living with long term conditions and also those who are not ready for a traditional gym environment.
Power assisted exercise is safe for all abilities, as users do not need to provide the motive force to overcome inertia. There are no weight stacks to control, just safe and effective power assisted technology, providing active assisted range of motion for end users.
Assist Fit, is the latest development in DLL’s £1M upgrade of Club Rhyl and follows on from the hugely popular Power Up strength studio, refreshed Lean Up cardio suite, brand new Studio X, HIIT training space and most recently the ‘first in Wales’, BOX12 boxing inspired workout experience.
Jamie Groves, DLL MD said “We are delighted to be partnering with Innerva in delivering this innovative new exercise solution for our members. DLL has always been committed to bringing leisure offers to its members, which are aimed at helping improve fitness, health and mental wellbeing within our communities. Assist Fit, is designed to focus on customers with specific fitness needs, and for whom our gym environment is not currently suitable. We are excited to be launching this fabulous new fitness offer, and would encourage everyone to keep an eye on our social media channels for the latest news about the launch.”
Liz Wright, National Sales Manager at Innerva said “It’s been a pleasure working with the DLL team and so inspiring to see the inclusive and diverse activity offer they’ve created at Club Rhyl. We’re particularly excited to see how Innerva’s solution will support DLL in engaging older adults and people living with long-term health conditions. It’s also a great opportunity to reach those who are currently less active by offering a safe, supportive and accessible space where they can build their confidence and potentially progress to further activities in the future. Our research with Manchester Metropolitan University shows that older people are keen to be active if they have access to the right facilities and support. This is exactly what Club Rhyl aims to provide with Assist Fit.”
