Message from Jamie Groves, Managing Director, Denbighshire Leisure Ltd:

Following tonight’s Welsh Government announcement that Wales will once again go into a full lockdown, it is with regret that I find myself writing to customers with notice of closure for all Denbighshire Leisure facilities.
The 4th tier lockdown announced tonight affects all our facilities which includes our seven leisure centres, SC2 & Ninja TAG, Nova Prestatyn, Nova Play and The Beach Hut indoor and outdoor restaurants, 1891 Bar and Restaurant and the Ruthin Craft Centre.

I apologise in advance for the short notice to customers who had planned to attend our provisions tomorrow morning. From midnight tonight, all of our facilities will close until further notice. The Beach Hut at Nova Prestatyn will continue to serve takeaways until 2pm each day, please see the Beach Hut social for updated opening times. Our team will be in tomorrow to communicate with all of our Leisure Members and customer who had bookings with us for the period leading up to Christmas eve. We will be donating our surplus restaurant perishable stock purchased for tomorrow’s lunches and for the planned busy week ahead, to care homes and food banks in the local area.

Understandably, we are disappointed by this news but we all must do everything we can to keep Wales safe. I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe Christmas and healthy New Year, and thank all of you, our loyal customers, for your support during what has been an extremely difficult year. Although we are disappointed to be ending the year in Lockdown, I can promise you it is going to be an exciting New Year with new developments across many of our sites! These will start in January with the launch of our fantastic Club Nova experience in Prestatyn, a new Group Cycle experience at X20 in St Asaph, and the reopening of Corwen Leisure Centre, which has seen a major refurbishment.

We look forward to seeing you all in 2021.

Jamie Groves, Managing Director, Denbighshire Leisure Ltd
