Over the next few weeks, Denbighshire Leisure Ltd will be lighting buildings in support of the Royal British Legion’s annual Poppy Appeal.

Ruthin Craft Centre, Rhyl Sky Tower, Rhyl Pavilion Theatre, 1891 Restaurant and Bar and the Events Arena waterfall will all be lit in red as Poppy Appeal 2022 is launched.

The Royal British Legion is at the heart of a national network that supports our Armed Forces community, ensuring their unique contribution is never forgotten.

They are the country’s largest Armed Forces charity, with 180,000 members, 110,000 volunteers and a network of partners and charities; providing support wherever and whenever it’s needed. Every year the Poppy Appeal helps raise vital funds to help them continue to with their vital work; from providing expert advice to guidance on recovery and rehabilitation and much more.

Jamie Groves, Managing Director of Denbighshire Leisure Ltd said “The Royal British Legion provides lifelong support to serving and ex-serving personnel and their families, and the Poppy Appeal enables them to make a real and positive difference to people’s lives.  Contributing to this year’s Poppy Appeal allows us to show we care about the lives of our Armed Forces Community and pay tribute to them. We will be lighting up buildings throughout the Appeal, to show our support for the work of the Royal British Legion, and to encourage others to do the same. ”
