Sunset DJ nights at 1891, over 130 free community sports sessions and sell out Splash pad and waterpark days out, were just a few of the fun-filled activities across DLL this Summer.

With the temperatures reaching over 30 degrees across the holidays, sessions at DLL’s flagship attraction SC2 Rhyl were a sell-out, both at the indoor Waterpark and outdoor Splash Pad.  The attraction retained its Visit Wales Gold Award for excellence this year and was filled with customers of all ages joining in the fun, making the most of DLL’s range of discounted and free sessions for residents. 

Customers enjoyed an electric atmosphere at DLL’s live DJ nights on the Terrace at 1891, which brought holiday vibes to the Rhyl coast. Free DJ nights took place throughout August and gave Mediterranean feels with live music, great food and the Caribbean evening proved a huge hit with customers.

Fitness members at Nova enjoyed a new way of working out, with the launch of the newly refurbished Nova gym. Saturday Sesh events were booked up, with Nova’s very own DJ providing the tunes for the workout, followed by a chilled evening at Beach Hut, North Wales’ best beer garden. Nova Community Open day finished the Summer with a hugely successful free day of fun activities, fitness classes and more, with nearly 1000 people in attendance across Nova, Beach Hut, Adventure Play and Beach Shack.

Across the county, DLL’s Community Sports team supported a number of partners in delivering over 130 fun free wellbeing events.  Sessions included beach activities, girls football, play sessions, youth events and family fun days.  Events were very well attended and provided a safe, welcoming environment for all.

Customers visiting 1891 and Beach Hut enjoyed a range of summer food and drink offers, including a fabulous Summer Spritz menu and Sip and Slice pizza offer.
