Thousands of children and families enjoyed the Splash Pad and waterpark at SC2 for the first weekend of the season in Rhyl, including over 500 free tickets given to residents and visitors as part of the DLL Local Loyalty offers.

With over 25 degree heat across the three days, the first weekend of the Splash Pad reopening for the summer season saw thousands of sun-seekers enjoying the outdoor splash pad over the Bank Holiday weekend.

DLL released 500+ free tickets online as part of their local loyalty offers, to welcome customers back to the outdoor SC2 Splash Pad on Saturday (23rd May).  With the temperatures soaring, customers couldn’t wait to enjoy some family fun, and all the tickets were snapped up in less than 10 minutes.

Jamie Groves, Managing Director at DLL, said: “It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the outdoor Splash Pad this weekend! Our team at SC2 worked really hard to get the Splash Pad up and running for the half term holiday and they love nothing better than seeing the whole area full of happy children and families having fun in the sun! We’re also looking forward to offering local residents free sessions after 4pm during the week.  We know lots of people work during the day, and we want them to have an opportunity for fun with their families at the end of their day.  Now the Splash Pad is open, we cannot wait to see more residents and visitors enjoying another fabulous Summer in Rhyl!”

SC2 Splash Pad will be open weekends and holidays until the end of the summer (weather dependent), with free sessions after 4pm daily aimed at local people working during the day. Tickets for the free sessions will be released at 9am each day and sessions can be booked online at www.SC2rhyl.co.uk.
