Crowds of over 100,000 fill the Denbighshire coast to watch the spectacular displays at Rhyl Air Show
Crowds gathered along the coast to watch the award-winning Rhyl Air Show with over a hundred thousand people attending both days across the Bank Holiday weekend.
Stunning aerobatic displays, exciting military village and a weekend of family fun along the coast, were just a few of this year’s highlights.
The Red Arrows finished the show on both days, soaring into the skies above the Events Arena and delighting crowds with their spectacular display. The Fairey Swordish glided into the skies and delighted crowds with its display. The Harvard roared into view followed by cheers from the crowd and the Strikemaster pair performed a number of daring routines which had the crowd on the edge of their seats. The Starlings performed on Sunday with a crowd pleasing display and the Calidus Autogyro gave the crowd a big ‘thumbs up’ from the cockpit as it flew over the crowds. The Royal Air Force Battle of Britain Memorial Flight delighted crowds with a patriotic display and the Red Arrows finished the show with a spectacular red, white and blue display.

Rhyl Town Centre and Events Arena are always buzzing with excitement, and to have both the Red Arrows, Battle of Britain memorial flight and the Strikemaster pair over both days again this year, is was just amazing to see! We want to thank everyone for coming to Rhyl and the amazing atmosphere, it was fantastic to see the whole promenade filled with people enjoying the show, We are already looking forward to next year!”
