By now I am sure you will have seen Welsh Government’s latest announcement, that Wales will continue in full lockdown for a further three weeks with a review expected on 29th January. This means that all of our facilities including our seven leisure centres, SC2 & Ninja TAG, Nova Prestatyn, Nova Play and The Beach Hut indoor and outdoor restaurants, 1891 Bar and Restaurant and the Ruthin Craft Centre, will remain closed for the time being. Naturally, we can’t help being disappointed in some respects, but are prepared to do whatever it takes to keep our staff and customers safe and well.
Once again, I can only thank you, our loyal customers, for your support and your patience, throughout this difficult experience. It means so much to everyone in the Denbighshire Leisure team to have you with us, and we can’t wait to welcome you back when things have improved. Until that time, we will continue to focus on the good things ahead of us, which in addition to the launch of our fantastic Club Nova experience in Prestatyn, our new Group Cycle experience at X20 in St Asaph, and the reopening of the new look Corwen Leisure Centre, will also include some exciting developments for later in the year.
Despite our facilities being closed, the Denbighshire Leisure staff are all remaining upbeat and are working on a variety of tasks. Some are helping to keep our buildings safe and in good condition, while other members of our team are volunteering to help their communities by delivering PPE and cooking for care homes and for those who are self-isolating. We are very proud of them all.
As soon as we are able, we will be delighted to open our doors once more.
Until then, please stay safe and well.
Jamie Groves, Managing Director, Denbighshire Leisure Ltd

Although we are disappointed to be ending the year with another lockdown, we’ll be staying positive and would like to thank all the customers who made the comeback with Denbighshire Leisure Ltd in 2020. Your support has meant so much to us, whether you visited a leisure centre, a restaurant or one of our attractions. We are really grateful for your loyalty and your custom, and hope you will be staying with us for what is going to be an exciting New Year with new developments across many of our sites! We would also like to thank you for cooperating so patiently with our new Covid-safe processes. Our teams have worked really hard to keep our facilities safe and enjoyable places for you to visit and we’ve been thrilled with the fantastic feedback we have received.
Despite the challenges we have all faced this year, everyone at Denbighshire Leisure Ltd has remained committed to bringing our customers the facilities and services they deserve. We launched our fantastic new Beach Hut restaurants in Prestatyn during the summer, a new look gym in Denbigh, a new 3G pitch in Llangollen and just recently our amazing, brand new X20 lifting experience in St Asaph.
Having come through 2020 even stronger, nothing can phase us now. We know that in 2021, health and wellbeing will remain at the forefront of everyone’s minds and you can be assured investing in our facilities across the county will remain a key priority for us. Next year, you will be able to look forward to more exciting new developments, starting in January with the launch of our fantastic Club Nova experience in Prestatyn, a new Group Cycle experience at X20 in St Asaph, and the reopening of Corwen Leisure Centre, which has seen a major refurbishment.
