The Royal Air Force Police Military Working Dog Display Team have today been confirmed for this year’s award winning Air Show event in Rhyl.

The team will be showing the audience the skills of the Military working dogs to support the Royal Air Force and wider defence.

The Royal Air Force Military Working Dogs are trained by the Canine Training Squadron at the Defence Animal Training Regiment in Melton Mowbray.  Once the dogs arrive at their Units the RAF Police Dog Handlers immediately try to build a bond with their dogs through training and play time, work hard play hard!

The Royal Air Force Police Military Working Dog Display Team are formed of volunteers from operational units from across the UK. The team will demonstrate how their capabilities play a vital role in supporting the Royal Air Force and wider defence by providing specialist Force Protection and Resilience, in an informative and interactive display. The team will be entertaining Rhyl Air Show goers by showcasing the incredible training and dedication the skilled handlers put into their military working dogs. They will show how the military working dogs are highly trained to detect, deter and detain with their sensory strengths.

The award winning air show is fast becoming North Wales’s biggest FREE seafront event and the 2022 show will feature spectacular aerial displays and land-based attractions and entertainment across the bank holiday, 27th and 28th August.
